It is essential to carry out screening of diodes out of the strip particularly for reverse breakdown test at acceptable leakage current in µA. To take out diodes one by one and conduct tests will be a time consuming and fatigue prone process. The risk of DC high voltage for an operator is always there. Tester has motor driven geared mechanism to pull strip of diodes with test riders applying reverse voltage on the leads.
